Stuck for a theme? Of course, the easiest theme is simply to
pick one or two of your favourite colours. We can then arrange for lollies,
sweets and delectable treats using those colours as a guide. We also decorate
the lolly jars and bowls accordingly, wrapping them in ribbons, adding feathers
and any other stylish touches to ensure that the lolly buffet looks as good as
it tastes. Sometimes we get called upon to do baby showers. As you can imagine,
pink and blue are common themes here. Weddings and engagement parties often
have their own colour themes – we can easily fit in with those too.
But, what about those equally-special but much more casual
occasions, such as wedding anniversaries, New Year’s Eve parties, birthday
parties, housewarmings and the any-excuse-for-a-party parties? Here are some
ideas based on events we’ve already catered for:
- Superhero theme: complete with a display cityscape at night, for any action hero to fly through, ready to save the world from impending disaster.
- Jungle theme: carefully chosen lollies and sweets that look like they could have crawled, jumped or slithered straight from the jungles of Africa or Asia.
- Dinosaur theme: head back to the Jurassic Period with a buffet fit for a T-Rex. Perfect for little boys.
- Princess theme: plenty of pink, very pretty and perfect for little girls.
- St. Patrick’s theme: lots of green and maybe a leprechaun or two, if you have the luck of the Irish.
- Christmas in July theme: your Christmas favourites, delivered with a dash of Northern Hemisphere tradition. Red and green prevail!
- Melbourne Cup theme: the colour, the glamour and the drama of the race that stops a nation.
- Football grand finals and World Cup finals themes: team colours, country colours and footballs.
- Olympics theme: and 2012 will be a big year for it! The Olympic colours, the rings, the medals, the sports – a veritable feast of thematic options!
